So you live in a rental…

We have some tips!

Revamping your living space with wallpaper is an exciting project that lets your creativity shine. This step-by-step guide ensures a successful application process while keeping things relaxed and approachable. Let's dive into the journey of transforming your space, one confident step at a time.

Step 1: Get Things Ready

Start by getting your walls ready for their makeover. Take down any towel rods or switch plates that might get in the way. This simple prep work will make your application process smooth and easy.

Step 2: Keep It Clean with Frisket

To keep things renter friendly, grab some frisket from your local art supply store. Apply it all over the wall to protect it from any stray wallpaper paste. It's like giving your walls a shield for a mess-free experience Your landlord will thank you.

Step 3: Measure, Cut, and Be Ready

Grab your wallpaper and measure out your first piece, leaving a bit extra just in case. Having that extra wiggle room helps you later when you cut the excess.

Step 4: Paste Like a Pro

Time to get pasting! Go for a trusty paste like Pro Roman 880. Grab a roller and slather it onto the wall, giving your frisket the sticky foundation it needs. Always apply the paste on the back of your Ena Florence paper.

Step 5: Stick and Smooth

Carefully put your wallpaper on the pasted wall, starting at the top and working your way down. Smooth it out with a clean decorators brush, making sure it's nice and aligned.

Step 6: Match It Up

When it's time for the next piece, measure, cut, and make sure those patterns line up seamlessly. This bit of extra care ensures your design flows effortlessly.

Step 7: Keep Going, Wall by Wall

Don't skip any walls! Keep going around the room until every nook and cranny is wallpapered. We know there is an impulse to start on another wall (ADHD, am I right?) but don’t. The patterns will not match if you do this.

Step 8: Trim It Down

Grab a razor and a straightedge to trim any extra wallpaper. Change razors frequently for a clean cut. We’re talking every other cut should be a new blade!

Step 9: Take It All In

Step back and take a good look at your handiwork. Reattach your towel rods and switch plates to complete the transformation. Your space is now complete! Snap a pic! and send us it!
